Rotatable 3D models of crystal lattices: sodium chloride NaCl (face-centred cubic), diamond (tetrahedral carbon), graphite (carbon layers held by weak forces) and body-centred and face-centred cubic metals. Choose the structure and the number of unit cells, and toggle bonds and cell edges; one unit cell is highlighted and a table counts the particles at corners, on edges, on faces and inside the cell to show how many ions or atoms each cell contains (NaCl: 4 Na⁺ + 4 Cl⁻).
