Reading a detail drawing – views, sections and dimensions

A rotational part (bushing, stepped shaft, spacer bush or V-belt pulley) is shown at the same time as a 3D solid and as a detail drawing with a front view, a side view and the dimensions ⌀D, ⌀d, L. Students change the three dimensions and watch both the 3D solid and the drawing update, drag on the solid to rotate the viewing axis, and turn on the sectional view to see the bore drawn with a solid line and the cut material hatched at 45° — turning it off returns the bore to a dashed line.
