Sign in to playChain up to 3 "machines" in a row to turn an input into an output. Four screens: Patterns (machines that rotate, flip, shrink/enlarge or recolour a picture), Numbers (an input–output table for a chain of add/subtract/multiply/divide machines), Equations (work out the formula y = ax + b for the chain and its graph) and Mystery (guess the machines hidden in boxes by testing several inputs, 4 levels). Based on the "Function Builder" simulation by PhET Interactive Simulations, University of Colorado Boulder (CC BY 4.0); rewritten.
